SLV Series 50° Eyepiece from Vixen Optics: Available with a 15mm, 20mm, or 25mm Focal Length. The Vixen SLV series is a modern twist on the timeless Vixen Lanthanum eyepieces. Renowned for their eye relief and precision, these eyepieces are cherished by planetary, lunar, and double star observers.

Within the SLV Series of Vixen Eyepieces, you'll find a hexagonally shaped eyepiece barrel, extended eye relief, and a twist-up click-stop eyecup for convenient adjustments.

Crafted with high-grade lanthanum glass, SLV eyepieces deliver astonishingly clear and high-contrast star images right to the edge of the viewing circle. The lenses are fully multicoated to ensure exceptional light transmission.

Vixen Optics HF2 Altazimuth Fork Mount: This is an altazimuth mount made for giant astronomical binoculars. You can attach the fork mount to most strong tripods with a 3/8"-16 mounting-stud. 

Vixen Optics HAL 130SXG Aluminum Tripod: The customizable height lets you adjust the telescope to your preferred position for effortless and comfortable viewing. The upper part of the tripod, where the mount connects, is coated with powder for a tough finish that withstands flaking and fading. Additionally, the tripod easily folds down for easy storage and portability. 

Vixen Swing Bracket/Mounting Plate: For mounting the BT81S-A (81mm) binoculars on the HF2 Altazimuth Fork Mount.

Can I interchange these eyepieces on the Vixen Giant Binoculars?

Yes. The binoculars feature an interchangeable eyepiece holder with a 1.25-inch / 31.7mm diameter, allowing users to customize magnification and field of view according to their preferences.

What mounts do I need to use the tripod with the Vixen Giant Binoculars?

The Vixen Giant Binoculars come with a convenient carrying handle for transportation and easy tripod assembly. For the Vixen BT-126SS-A, it is recommended that you add the HF2 Altazimuth Fork Mount and the HAL 130SXG Aluminum Tripod. For the Vixen BT-81S-A, you would want both of those as well as the Vixen Swing Bracket/Mounting Plate to fit it properly on the mount.

Using the correct mount ensures smooth movements and accurate tracking. Depending on the friction settings, the binocular position remains stable, reducing vibrations to a minimum. This is the best way to experience observation of even the finest details without disruption, even at high magnifications.

Warranty

Vixen warranties its products to be free from initial defects in materials and workmanship for a specified period based on part type:

Vixen Electronic Parts: Limited One Year Warranty
Vixen Mechanical Parts: Limited Two Year Warranty

These warranties do not cover defects caused by owner negligence. If a product has a qualifying defect, Vixen will repair or replace such product or part thereof that upon inspection by Vixen or an authorized representative is found to be defective in materials or workmanship. As a condition to the obligation of Vixen to repair or replace such product, the product must be returned together with proof‐of‐purchase and product registration satisfactory to Vixen.


Repair Procedure:

To initiate the repair process for any Vixen product that presents with a defect during the period covered by the warranty, please contact our Lakehouse & Cottage Customer Service Team at 854-777-0909 (M-F 9a-5p CST) or email us at sales@lakehouseandcottage.com to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and shipping address information.

Once you have received the RMA number, return said product or part to Lakehouse & Cottage. Customers are responsible for all shipping costs related to repairing the unit both returning the product to our
facility and return shipment. In the event that you must return your Vixen product to Lakehouse & Cottage, we recommend that you use a carrier that offers shipment tracking for all returns with the ability to insure your package for full value and safe return to Lakehouse & Cottage so that you are completely protected if the shipment is lost or damaged in transit.

(If you choose not to (1) use a carrier that offers tracking or (2) insure or declare the full value of the product, you will be responsible for any lost shipment.)

Each return must include the RMA number (which should be written on the outside of the box), and proof of purchase to show that the return is within the warranty window, a written statement detailing the nature of the claimed defect, as well as your name, return shipping address, and a phone number where we and/or the carrier returning your product can reach you. (Usually included on the RMA Paperwork)

Once the product arrives at Lakehouse & Cottage, our Quality Control team will inspect the item and address the reported problem if possible. If the Lakehouse & Cottage representatives are unable to repair the product, it will need to be returned to Japan for repair. At that point, the customer will be notified that the item needs to be returned to Japan for repair. Customer will be informed of bi‐directional shipping costs related to returning the product to Vixen headquarters in Japan. To reduce those costs, Lakehouse & Cottage will be consolidating shipments to Japan once a month, and said product will also return together once corrected.

Please note, we do not process shipments on weekends or public holidays. During high order volumes, there may be a slight delay; please allow extra transit time. If a significant shipping delay occurs, we'll notify you via email.

P.O. Box or APO/FPO/DPO addresses are not accepted.

Shipping Tracking Information

You will receive shipment confirmation and tracking information via email. 

You will receive confirmation once your order has been received and is being prepared to ship.

After your order has been packaged, tracking will be added and sent to you. You will receive tracking information to the email address you provided.

Check the Status of Your Order

Your confirmation email will have a link to check the status of your order. 

You will also receive notifications when your order ships with tracking information provided through the shipping carrier.

Damaged or Missing Items

Report any damage or missing packages within 7 business days to sales@lakehouseandcottage.com. While we don't assume responsibility for shipping carrier errors, we'll assist in contacting them and making things right. Keep packaging and damaged items for potential claims.

Refunds and Returns

We know you'll love your order! But just in case you're not fully satisfied, we've streamlined an easy return process. 

Our return policy covers a 30-day period. Unfortunately, if 30 days have passed since your purchase, we can't provide a refund or exchange.

For a return to be eligible, the item must be unused and in its original condition and packaging. Please note that a 20% restocking fee applies to all returned products.

To process your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

There are instances where only partial refunds are granted:

  • Items not in their original condition, damaged, or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
  • Items returned beyond the 30-day delivery period.

Refunds

Upon receiving and inspecting your return, we'll send an email confirming its arrival and notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, a refund will be processed, excluding the 20% restocking fee, and credited to your original method of payment.

Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange an item for the same product, please email us at sales@lakehouseandcottage.com.

Shipping

To initiate a return, please email us at sales@lakehouseandcottage.com for shipping instructions. You are responsible for paying the shipping costs for returning the item. Shipping fees are non-refundable, and any refund processed will deduct the return shipping cost.

The duration for the exchanged product to reach you may vary based on your location.

For items over $75, consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee receipt of your returned item without these measures.
