Refund and Return Policy

Cancellations & Refunds:

You can cancel your order free of charge anytime before it ships (some exceptions apply, such as custom orders, see below).

Cancellations (Before Order Ships):

Should you need to cancel an order, get in touch with us as soon as possible to secure a full refund before your order leaves the warehouse. Our agents are available during business hours at 854-777-0909 or through email at sales@lakehouseandcottage.com anytime.

Cancellations of Custom Orders

Custom or made-to-order products can't be canceled or refunded as these items are specially produced for your order.

These units are custom-made according to your specifications or crafted upon your order. Once the order is placed, the production begins. Your warranty guarantees a fully functional and operational product. If it's unclear whether your order falls into this category, feel free to message or call us.

All sales are final for Custom-made and Made-to-order products.

Refunds and Returns.

Exchanges for your product are possible, but you, as the customer, are responsible for any shipping costs involved throughout the return and exchange processes.

Not all orders are eligible for return after they have shipped. We order our products directly from the manufacturer, and if they don't allow us to return a product, we can't offer a return. This varies case by case, so please refer to individual product pages for more details or reach out to us for specific information if you have questions regarding your brand or product.

Each circumstance of return or refund comes with a specific timeframe clearly outlined in the product page return policy, usually 30 days. Once the return is approved and processed, the timeframe for receiving the refund will be clearly communicated to you. Refunds are issued through the original payment method used during the purchase to streamline the return process. Additionally, our return period for each product is clearly stated on the product page.

Due to drastically increasing LTL/freight shipping costs, outright returns (if you've just changed your mind) will incur 25% cancellation fee + return shipping costs. However, if you're replacing the product with something else, we may be able to assist in covering some of the expenses depending on the product. 

Shipping Times

We strive to deliver your order as promptly as possible.

The estimated shipping times on product pages are based on information provided by our suppliers and freight companies. These estimates may change without notice due to factors outside our control, such as supply chain issues, manufacturing delays, and high shipping demands.

Delays in orders are often unavoidable and beyond Lakehouse and Cottage's control. While this can be frustrating, we appreciate your patience and understanding during these challenging times.

Please Review the Following:

When making a purchase from Lakehouse and Cottage, you acknowledge the following Exchange Agreement:

  • I will inspect the package upon delivery, take note, and photos of any damage, and provide this information to Lakehouse and Cottage within 24 hours.
  • I am responsible for return shipping costs and the cost of new product shipping for refunds or exchanges.
  • Returned products must be unopened and unused, they may incur a possible restocking fee.
  • If my order has left the warehouse, a full refund isn't always possible.
  • Return shipping fees and restocking fees (usually around 20%) are my responsibility if I return my order after shipment.
  • Estimated shipping dates are subject to change due to factors beyond Lakehouse and Cottage's control.
  • I agree not to cancel my order or file a chargeback due to delays caused by factors outside Lakehouse and Cottage's control (such as supply chain issues, manufacturing delays, and high shipping demands, natural disasters, etc.).

Damages

Upon arrival, inspect the packaging for any damage. If any damage is noticed, make a note of it when signing for delivery. Should your item(s) arrive damaged, send photos of the damage, box, and SKU, along with a brief description to sales@lakehouseandcottage.com within 24 hours, and we'll process an insurance claim on your behalf. Photos and videos must be sent within 24 hours for freight damage claims to be valid. Report any punctures or visible signs of exterior damage within 24 hours.

Warranty

Warranties vary by manufacturer - refer to individual product pages for details. Warranty claims pertain to damages occurring over time and from use. Failure to report any damage within 30 days upon arrival does not qualify as a warranty claim.

Returns

Lakehouse and Cottage default is that customers cover all return shipping charges or reconsignment fees caused by customer error, unless otherwise stated on the product page.

Most of our products come with guarantee warranty policies, ensuring a 100% fully functional product without additional expenses on your end - check individual product pages for details.

BOGO Promotions

For BOGO promotions, both items must be returned for a full refund. Partial returns result in a replacement of the item or a store credit equivalent to the item's value when purchased alone. Customers are responsible for actual return shipping charges and, depending on the manufacturer, a possible restocking fee if the order has shipped. Refunds are only issued to the original credit card used for the purchase.

All customers confirm that they have read, understood, and agree to the above terms and conditions.

Individual items will have different refund and return policies depending on the specific brand or item. These are all readily available on the product page.

Chargebacks

Our team is here to assist you and resolve any issues promptly and hassle-free. We've designed our policies to be as fair as possible, and we believe they are the top in the industry. We are on your team. We are committed to top-tier customer service and will be immediately responsive, and do that we can to help you achieve the best resolution.

Given this, any customer filing a fraudulent chargeback will be held criminally liable for theft. If you have not received your order, or have an issue with a order that you did receive, please contact us, and we will do everything we can to resolve your issue.
