The Del Mar Fire Pit is made from lightweight and durable glass fiber reinforced concrete (GFRC) that resists cracking, chipping and signs of wear. Individually handcrafted in the U.S.A., This durable material is stronger and 50% lighter than regular concrete. The glass fibers of the material prevent rust, making this a fire pit that will last a lifetime. Plus, the color is cast throughout the product so it won't peel or chip off. Because of its handmade nature, slight variations in color and texture may occur.

Choose your preferred ignition method - Electronic Ignition or Match Lit - whatever is most convenient for you. Electronic ignitions provide the highest level of safety and are easiest to use while match light systems are straightforward to install and virtually maintenance-free. 

The 110V Plug & Play Smart Weather Electronic Ignition System has been tested in rain, snow, and 55 mph winds to guarantee long lasting use. It will even reignite if the wind blows it out. The compact system can be wired by your local electrician to be controlled by a pool controller, remote control, or home automated systems for easy control of the fire. This LC Certified unit is compatible with 12VAC only (12V to 110V transformers are available) and features a glow plug igniter designed to withstand the elements.

The Low Voltage ignition system is the best choice if you want to automate your fire pit or are concerned about using it near water. This connects to an automation system or a transformer to ensure safe and easy operation.

I’m worried the edges will get too hot to place drinks or feet... Does it stay cool to touch on the outside?

The outside of the fire pit may become warm due to the heat generated by the fire, but it won't be too hot to touch or to place drinks or food on. You can enjoy your gatherings around the fire table without worrying about uncomfortable heat levels on its exterior.

How do the Del Mar Fire Pits do in subfreezing temperatures? Do they need to be stored inside for the winter?

LIMITED WARRANTY

Lakehouse & Cottage guarantees your satisfaction with your purchase with warranties through The Outdoor Plus on fire pits against manufacturing defects that prevent safe and correct function as follows:

• Stainless Steel and Brass Burner Tubes/Rings = Limited Lifetime Warranty
• Electronics, Gas Valves, & Pilot Assembly: 1 year
• Stainless Steel Pan & Valve Box: Commercial – 1 year; Residential – 3 years
• This commences from the date of original sale / shipment
• This warranty is for the parts and in-house labor. The defective product must be sent back with a Return
• Merchandise Authorization (RMA) issued by Lakehouse & Cottage for that specific product and any other additional information for the nature of the defect or warrant claim
• The warranty does not cover items that have been damaged by overheating, modification, abuse, or improper storage.
• Any labor involving installation or maintenance with the unit is not covered
• This warranty excludes claims for consequential, indirect-collateral expenses arising from the products defects or warranty recovery
• This warranty is only applied to original purchases.

PRODUCT WARRANTY

The Outdoor Plus, Inc., warranties product against manufacturing defects that prevent safe and correct operation of the product commencing from the date of original sale or shipment from Lakehouse & Cottage. The warranty on parts and in-house labor will apply only to claims presented to us by our original customer and is in lieu of all other warranties expressed or implied. Please refer to the Warranty Chart below for warranty periods. The defective product must be shipped back with an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) issued by Lakehouse & Cottage for that specific product which states the nature of the defect or warranty claim. Product to be returned should be packed carefully- Lakehouse & Cottage is not responsible for shipping damage on returned items. The original purchase information will be required. RMA’s are only valid for 30 days from the date of issue by Lakehouse & Cottage and will not be processed if received after the expiration date. The RMA number must be indicated on the outside of the return package and a copy of the RMA should be placed in the package with product.

This warranty does not cover items that have been damaged by overheating, modification, abuse, improper storage, installation, or maintenance . This warranty excludes claims for incidental or consequential damage and indirect collateral expenses arising from product defects or warranty recovery. Product manufactured by TOP including cLCus Certified models, cannot be altered or modified in any way.

Lakehouse & Cottage is not responsible for local codes and will not accept a return on any product that is not approved for installation. Please check with your local authorities or governing agencies for proper approvals before purchasing. Lakehouse & Cottage is not responsible for the actions including negligence of the installer.

All orders are typically processed within 1-2 business days.

Product leaves our warehouse in 3-5 weeks. The Outdoor Plus products are custom made to order.

Please note, we do not process shipments on weekends or public holidays. During high order volumes, there may be a slight delay; please allow extra transit time. If a significant shipping delay occurs, we'll notify you via email.

 Refunds and Returns

Because each fire pit is custom made-to-order, we are unable to accept returns on these items.

If a product is delivered incorrectly, it is the recipients responsibility to notify Lakehouse & Cottage within 48 hours. Lakehouse & Cottage is not responsible for incorrect or damaged packages and shipments 48 hours after they have been received.
