What Everyone Ought to Know About the EcoFlow Delta Series: Portable Power Stations, Solar Panels, and Powering a New World
Some easy answers about Delta portable power stations, EcoFlow tech, and solar energy that often sounds too complicated.
Why We Are Sharing the EcoFlow Delta Series
A little while ago, we were chatting with the owner of a beautiful lakeside cottage, a smart woman. She regretted the fact that she still did not have backup power for her home because she was overwhelmed by details like "wattage" and "capacity".
She was lost in a sea of technical bells and whistles. She just wanted to pick a portable power station to back up her home.
"So what?" You ask. Well, here's "what".
Having portable power isn't just useful; it's the best way to be prepared, eco-friendly, and more energy independent.
But where do you begin?
We pointed the cottage owner to the EcoFlow Delta series. It's one many of our customers rely on. We also gave her some straight-forward answers about all that technical lingo.
We hope that this guide will answer some of your most common questions about Delta EcoFlow tech. So preparing yourself with the right power station is as straight-forward and stress-free as lakeside lemonade.

- Delta Pro: Is it Worth It?
What Size Delta is Right for You?
If you want a workhorse to back up your entire home and reduce your energy bills, the EcoFlow Delta Pro should be your top choice. For off-grid power during camping or remote work, the Delta or Delta 2 might be a better fit because they are smaller and lighter.
Now would be a good time to explain some of those technical terms so you can decide which size is right for you.
Capacity
Capacity is like the tank that holds energy in a portable power station. It's measured in watt-hours (Wh) or kilowatt-hours (kWh). The same way you see it on your electricity bill at home. This tells you how long your station can run your devices before it needs to be recharged.
Wattage
This is how much power something uses or makes. A small light might use 60 watts. A big machine like a microwave could use 1000 watts. The higher the watts, the more power something needs or puts out.
Choosing a power station is easy once you know the watts your devices need. Here's a cheat-sheet with common appliances and their watts, plus how long each Delta station can power them.

With the EcoFlow Delta Pro, you could run all your heavy-load appliances at once: a large refrigerator, an air conditioning unit, a washer and dryer, multiple TVs and computers, all while charging several electric vehicles!
What's the catch? At 99 lbs, it is a beast. But wheels and an easy carry handle ensure Delta Pro is still the leader of "portable" power.

Can I Charge EcoFlow Delta with a Solar Panel?
Yes. All of EcoFlow's Delta series portable power stations work with solar panels for sustainable recharging on-the-go. You can also charge them from your car power port or an AC outlet.
The Charging Input of your Delta portable power station is the highest wattage power it can convert and store as AC electricity. This sets the limit for the maximum rated power and the number of solar panels you can link.

How Do I Know How Many Solar Panels I Need?
Figuring out the number of solar panels you need involves calculating your power usage, available sunlight, and the solar panel's rated wattage and efficiency.
Off-Grid Independence & Home Energy Management
If you're looking for an off-grid solution to keep the lights on at your lakeside retreat, consider the EcoFlow Delta Pro for its ability to double the solar charging input to 3200W by connecting two EcoFlow Delta Pro units through the Double Voltage Hub.
This allows for the connection of up to 8 x EcoFlow 400W rigid solar panels or Portable Solar Panels—as long as the total rated power doesn't exceed 3200W.
Van Life & RV Adventures
To power your RV adventures, two or three high-efficiency solar panels for battery powered generators can create enough energy to run your appliances. Including your refrigerator and air conditioner!
The Delta 2 Max with one 400W solar panel or the Delta 2 with two 220W solar panels would be good systems to keep you charged on the road.
Can I Add an Extra Battery to the EcoFlow Delta?
How Long Will an EcoFlow Delta Last?
Under regular daily use, the EcoFlow Delta Pro can perform well for 10 years before you'd notice any decline in performance. This is thanks to its LFP battery. It can do an impressive 3,500 cycles before reaching 80% of its original storage capacity and 6,500 cycles before reaching 50%.
All EcoFlow's Delta portable power stations have lithium iron phosphate (LFP/LiFePO4) batteries. Except for the Delta Max, which has a nickel-cadmium (Ni-Cad) battery.
These LiFePO4 batteries are an innovative advancement in Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion) battery technology. They're smaller, hold lots of power, and last longer than other batteries. Plus EcoFlow's LiFePO4 batteries don't use cobalt. Which most other batteries need but is often sourced in not-so-ethical ways.
How to Pick Your EcoFlow Delta Portable Power Station
The Delta series varies based on capacity, weight, charging speeds, and expandability. Understanding these fundamental elements will help you choose the right one for your specific power needs.
If you're still unsure about which one is right for you, remember you'll never regret having more power than you need. But you might regret it if you run out of power in an emergency or in the middle of a grand adventure.

Is the Delta Pro Worth It?
